With these plates I have used a layer of white slip for the base, then black slip for the illustration. Then on the bisque firing I used transparent glaze which turned the black slip dark blue (which I quite like). For the first time in about a year of ceramics I am starting to produce some ceramics that I am pleased with - Yay! My main aim now is to start sketching some designs for the plates.
